The first session f the Manifesta 8 Education Summer Course will start today at 10:00 with a presentation By Yoeri Meessen titled "A Brief Ecology of the Biennial".
Yoeri Meessen is Manifesta's Head of Education and external Relations coordinator of the Manifesta Foundation. Originally trained as teacher of Fine Arts and Art History, he holds a Masters degree in Arts, Culture and Media from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen specialising in arts and social theory. He has worked in various museums and institutions such as the Groninger Museum and been responsible for setting up the education departments of Manifesta 7 (Italy-2008) and Manifesta 8 (Spain-2010).
