SCHOOL VISITS Our team of school Art Mediators cordially invites pupils and students for an encounter with contemporary art. For both the exhibitions in Murcia and in Cartagena we have developed special programs suitable for all ages and grades. Pupils and students are invited to actively experience the exhibition, engage in dialogue and explore their individual responses to contemporary art. Schools can choose to book a guided tour lasting one hour or a combined guided tour and workshop lasting two hours. The Manifesta 8 school programs are free of charge and take place on a a first-come-first-serve basis so please book well in advance to be certain of availability. EDUCATION GUIDE Conversations has been designed as a companion resource for students and teachers to Manifesta 8, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art. It includes information and tools to make some of the key topics underlying Manifesta 8 accessible, and highlights the relevance of art(education) in regard to broader social and cultural issues. The main aims of this resource are to provide information about some of the conversations that created Manifesta 8, to contextualize some of the conversations Manifesta 8 might start, and to provide tools which enable you and your class to start your own conversations about (and with) contemporary art.
